EPTO to run 3 events in Estonia in April 2016

Thanks to the support of the European Youth foundation of the Council of Europe and the ERASMUS+ programme of the European Union, and in close partnership with its member organisation Seiklejate Vennaskond, EPTO organises a series of 3 events from April 1st to 5th in Tartu, Estonia :
-
the General Assembly (1st April, 6-7:30 pm CET)
The GA consists of representatives of member organisations and individual members, and meets at least once a year. This year, the GA will elect the new Board (2016-2018), assign 50% of the members of the Advisory Body and adopt the financial report of the last year and the 2-years strategic and financial plan.
-
the annual event for members (2nd-3rd April)
As a membership-based organisation, EPTO runs every year an annual event for all its members to connect, assess their needs and capacities, and support them with tailor-made services. This year, we will work on the topic of e-innovations, in order to launch digital services to build a stronger European network of members and better use digital technology fostering grassroots youth work.
-
the first partners meeting of the “coaching module on peer education” project (4th-5th April)
From 2016 to 2018, EPTO will run a new project aiming at coaching 4 member organisations in supporting young people in the development of their own peer education projects. Before delivering the project's coaching module in July 2016 in Slovenia, EPTO sets up a first partners meeting to engage all partners in the design of the project, clarify the different steps and roles and plan the local implementation of partners' grassroots peer education projects.
Seiklejate Vennaskond is a youth and civil society organisation, which connects active adventurous people together. They work mainly with young people, but also with youth workers, trainers and teachers and organisations active in non-formal education field and lifelong learning. Their members have participated and organised different youth exchanges, seminars and training courses concerning equality, media impact, innovation, fight against racism and xenophobia, human rights, mobility and migration, HIV prevention, environment protection and other issues. Their volunteers gather every month to take up new ideas and think how to put them into practice. They sincerely believe that young people today can make a difference and they all work for this purpose. Seiklejate Vennaskond is a sending and coordinating organization for European Voluntary Service. |
Who can participate?
The GA and annual event for members are open to all EPTO individual members and member organisations (max. 3 people/organisation). The partners meeting concerns directly the 4 member organisations involved in the whole 2-year “coaching module on peer education” project.
