Celebration!
Since the beginning of 2015, we are happy to receive some really good news coming from our European funding institutions. We got to celebrate a major one coming from the Erasmus+ programme being an operating grant guaranteed for the next 3 years (under Key Action 3-Civil Society Cooperation-Youth).
Then we had the confirmation our project "Boosting youth participation and career opportunities through peer education" was fully co-funded by the European Youth Foundation from the Council of Europe and the Erasmus+ programme under Key Action 1-Mobility of Individuals in the field of Youth. This funding will be supporting the presence of 2 European Volunteer Services (EVS) and co-funding our next 2 international events:
-
the « Certification Training for Peer Trainers » to be co-organised with ADCS in July in Cluj-Napoca (RO), the European Youth Capital 2015
-
our annual conference « PEER FORUM 2015- Peer education, a spring-board to employment » to be held in October in Estonia in partnership with Seiklejate Vennaskond
Through this project, EPTO wants to mainstream the dimensions of participation and employability through peer training in its activities. We strongly believe that non formal education has a very significant impact on youth employability and socio-professional insertion, enhancing in particular 5 of the 6 soft skills which are the most looked for by employers on the labor market: self-management, problem solving, communication, leadership skills and competence in working with others.
We hope you could join us in our 2015 adventures!
