Event for Members 2016

As a membership-based organisation, EPTO runs every year an annual event for its member organisations in order to regularly meet, assess their needs and capacities, and support them with tailor-made services. In partnership with our member organisation, Seiklejate Vennaskond, the European mobility brought us to Tartu, Estonia. Did you know Skype was created in Estonia?
What a good opportunity to work on the topic of e-innovations, in order to:
- launch digital services to build a stronger European network of members
- better use digital technology fostering grassroots youth work
In recent years, digital technology has had a tremendous influence on youth work, creating opportunities for practitioners to: promote specific events, trainings and activities for young people; attract new members to engage with youth; give greater visibility to youth organisations; consult directly young people on issues affecting them, etc. But a lot still needs to be done in the sector to catch up and make the best use of it.
This year, EPTO presented digital services designed for its members (profile and log-in access to the website, reporting system, access to various resources...), collected feedback and reflected on their best use to strengthen the network. Specific workshops, activities and presentations helped us understanding how digital tools can enhance our work in non formal education and can support the implementation of projects with youth.
The event was also an opportunity for 9 of our member organisations, coming from Romania, Iceland, Belgium, Hungary, Estonia, Latvia, Luxembourg, Slovenia, Albania to meet, to introduce their work and to initiate new joint projects in the near future.
To the Erasmus+ programme of the European Commission and to the European Youth Foundation of the Council of Europe who supported us in organising this event, we would like to say... :
