This week, EPTO’s co-manager and experienced trainer, Cathy Del Rizzo, is delivering two one-day training sessions under the title “The facilitator's posture in Education for Relational, Emotional and Sexual Life” at the organisation O’YES (Organization for Youth Education & Sexuality).

The first training took place yesterday, 15 January, at Maison de Quartier Malibran in Ixelles, with the second one tomorrow, 17 January at O’YES.

Altogether 40 social workers from the commune of Ixelles are taking part in the trainings, working on how to deal with potentially difficult situations in awareness-raising and training environments. The participants will be learning and practising methods in preparation for "Parcours EVRAS" (Education à la Vie Relationnelle, Affective et Sexuelle) where they will be working with youth from different schools across Ixelles.

Cathy Del Rizzo: “We did a similar training with O’YES a year ago. It was a great success and we received a lot of positive feedback. Participants had the feeling of really being part of a group and sharing the common vision of the role of the facilitator.”
