2018 Peer Forum in Sinaia (RO)

From November 30th to December 3rd 2018, with the support of the Erasmus+ programme and the Luxembourgish National Agency ANEFORE, members of EPTO had the chance to gather in the beautiful Romanian mountains in Sinaia for the 2018 edition of the Peer Forum. Our Romanian member organisation Ofensiva Tinerilor has been the perfect host for the team and the participants coming from Belgium, Estonia, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Macedonia, The Netherlands and Romania.

Through this 4-day event, 40 participants had the opportunity to experience and deliver workshops on various topics using experiential learning: Diversity & anti-discrimination; Peer education; Gender-based discrimination; Religious diversity; Peace education; Inclusion of visually-impaired people; Forum theater; Sexual education; Emotional intelligence; Facilitation with music.

The programme also included ‘Living library’ for participants to know more about previous experiences of peer trainers in the EPTO network, a ‘Hall of Fame’ on the topic: “What makes a peer education project successful?”, and an ‘Organisation bazaar’ where participants could exchange about their respective work in the field of social inclusion, develop project ideas which were further refined in an action planning session aiming at building future partnerships.

We want to thank Ofensiva Tinerilor for being a great host and organiser, and all the participants from our partner organisations for making this event a unique learning experience. See you next time!
